Nàdurra Peated Whisky Cask draws its inspiration from the historic traditions of whisky making at The Glenlivet, where peat smoke was originally used to dry the malted barley. But this is a contemporary take on a traditional flavor. The origin of this distinctive flavor comes not from the malting process but instead through maturation. Mature The Glenlivet whisky is finished in casks that have previously held heavily peated Scotch whisky. This creates a gentle, aromatic smokiness, a completely new flavor for The Glenlivet but married together with the smooth fruitiness of our house style.
